Jumeirah Group will launch its first Zabeel House hotel in the UK in London's Shoreditch next year.
The Dubai-based luxury hotel firm also announced yesterday that it has redevelopment plans for the five-red-AA-star, 216-bedroom Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge.
Zabeel House in London is expected to open in the first quarter of 2019 on Great Eastern Street with approximately 200 bedrooms.
Jumeirah launched the Zabeel House brand in January and opened the first property in Dubai in March. The city-based hotels reflect their locations, featuring details and design relevant to each neighbourhood, and offer an "upscale, casual environment" targeting both business and leisure travellers.
Regional vice president for Europe and Jumeirah Carlton Tower general manager Luc Delafosse, who joined Jumeirah six months ago, said it is "all looking good for Jumeirah here in London".
The company also committed to focusing on focus on developing its food and beverage offering, with new concepts expected to be announced later this year.
A member of Dubai Holding, Jumeirah Group operates 19 Jumeirah-branded hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including the flagship Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai. In the UK, the group operates the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Jumeirah Lowndes hotel and Grosvenor House Suites in London.
