John Scanlon to swap 45 Park Lane for Beverly Hills

John Scanlon, currently general manager of the Dorchester Collection’s 45 Park Lane hotel in London, has been appointed to the same role at the group’s Beverly Hills hotel in California.

Scanlon has been general manager of the five-red-AA-star, 45-bedrom 45 Park Lane hotel for seven years. He also managed the adjacent Mayfair Park Residences. He joined the Dorchester Collection in 2005 and previous roles included stints at the Dorchester as acting general manager and hotel manager, as well as global director of revenue at the company’s corporate office.

He will start his new role on 4 April. A successor has not yet been announced at 45 Park Lane.

Born in Ireland and a graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management, Scanlon spent 14 years of his earlier career at the Lanesborough hotel in London, where he progressed to the role of executive assistant manager.
