John Kelly has been appointed hotel manager at the five-AA-star Pan Pacific London.
He joins from a role as deputy general manager at Adare Manor in Ireland, where he managed daily operations and co-chaired the J.P McManus Pro-Am charity sporting event in 2022.
The Dublin-born hotelier previously managed the Bloomsbury Hotel in London and has also held senior roles at the Hoxton Holborn in London, W Hotel London Leicester Square, and Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland.
At Pan Pacific, he will oversee the 237-bedroom property and report to Anne Golden, general manager at Pan Pacific London and vice-president of operations, UK, and North America.
The Pan Pacific opened in September 2021, and it won the Hotel of the Year – Group award at the 2023 Cateys and was named the AA Hospitality Hotel of the Year 2022/23.
Kelly said it was an “honour and a privilege” to join the hotel.
“Pan Pacific London is dedicated to going above and beyond for its guests and ensuring personalised service, training of staff and fostering a positive work culture, which I look forward to driving further in my new role,” he added.
Kelly studied at the Shannon College of Hotel Management and achieved a diploma with first-class honours in International Hotel Management and a degree in Commerce from NUI Galway. He recently completed the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (SWET) Level 3 Award in Wines with distinction.
