Joan Rull Moreno has been appointed director of F&B at Conrad London St James.
He was most recently at Canopy by Hilton Madrid Castellana and has ten years’ experience working for multiple hotels in Spain and Belgium that had one and three Michelin-starred restaurants within them.
Rull Moreno also holds master’s degrees in hotel administration and management and food and beverage management.
He joins the Conrad London St James soon after an extensive kitchen refurbishment of the Pem, which was opened by Sally Abé in 2021.
The hotel is also home to the Blue Boar Pub, the Hedgerow lounge and cocktail bar and the Orchard Room afternoon tea.
Rull Moreno will lead his 150-strong team through the launch of a new afternoon tea in early 2024, as well as other F&B developments across the hotel, with the primary goal of “establishing ourselves as a gastronomic icon in town”.
He added: “Conrad London St. James is in an incredible location, at the heart of major British institutions from Royalty to Government, and we want to reflect this sense of Britishness at every level. This is a beautiful project; London is a competitive international market, and I love challenges!”
Conrad London St James is part of Hilton’s collection of almost 40 Conrad Hotels and Resorts.
