Atherton said the site would be a neighbourhood restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Jason and Irha Atherton are to launch a new neighbourhood restaurant in south London later this year.
Named the Three Darlings, it will be inspired by the couple’s three daughters Keziah, Jemimah and Athena.
The restaurant will open on Chelsea’s Pavilion Road, part of Cadogan Estates.
In a post on Instagram, Atherton described the Three Darlings as a “neighbourhood bistro…seasonal, stylish yet joyously casual dining”.
Atherton told The Caterer: “We want the restaurant to be a lifestyle restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner, is dog friendly, a massive neighbourhood joint with a gorgeous courtyard.
“I’m a big fan of Esmée in Copenhagen, run by Andreas Bagh, and we want to try and emulate that a little bit in our own style for Chelsea, with lots of space for walk-ins."
The Athertons are also due to launch British brasserie Sael in the former Aquavit site in St James’ Market this summer.
It will be led by Dale Bainbridge, current executive chef at the couple’s Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social in Mayfair. The restaurant, which opened in 2011, is due to close on 31 July after 13 years of trading.
The Atherton’s international restaurant group is made up of seven sites in London, including Michelin-starred City Social, and eight across the world.
Jason was awarded the International Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2023 Cateys.
