Jamie Oliver Restaurants is seeking new franchise partners to open sites across Europe.
The chef’s international restaurant arm is looking for franchisees in Poland, Spain, Switzerland and Austria as part of its ongoing global expansion.
Jamie Oliver Restaurants has over 80 restaurants across 23 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and South America run under seven franchised formats, including Jamie’s Italian, Jamie’s Deli and the Jamie Oliver Cookery School.
Its latest international opening and first in Germany, Jamie Oliver Kitchen in Berlin, opened this month.
The restaurant is run under franchise by German hospitality group BMB Gruppe and is the first of several sites planned in the country.
It features an open kitchen and bar, café area, and outdoor terrace. Dishes include a Japanese-inspired umami risotto; pizzas served on a plank of wood; and cheesy spätzle croquettes with sweet onion ketchup.
Ed Loftus, global restaurant group director, said: “Jamie has a big fan base in Germany cultivated through his bestselling cookery books, award winning TV series and his campaigning work. Once we had found the right partner in BMB Group, Jamie Oliver Kitchen felt like the right restaurant concept to open in Berlin.
“We are in an exciting expansion phase at Jamie Oliver Restaurants. We’ve recently opened a Jamie’s Italian in Belgrade, and we have more restaurants planned for Germany as well as additional franchises opening in India, Montenegro and the Middle East.”
Jamie Oliver Restaurants owns and operates its sites in the UK, which include Jamie Oliver Cookery School and the Jamie Oliver Catherine St restaurant in London.
