Jacob Kenedy has closed Vico, the Italian street food restaurant he opened with Victor Hugo in London's Cambridge Circus in September 2015.
It is believed that the Bocca di Lupo founders have sold the lease to Shake Shack, with Vico closing its doors for the final time on Saturday 24 June.
The restaurant was created for quick snacking, rather than a full meal, with the site designed with minimal seating. It served pizza served by the slice alongside a range of polpette, arancini and fried seafood.
At the time of opening Kenedy said the restaurant was intended to be "a pleasant moment to pause along the hectic road we tread every day, to relax and to smile".
Announcing its closure he said: "Vico has sold its lease and has therefore ceased to trade. Vico wants to thank its staff for their dedication and commitment and its clients for their support.
"I am sad to close the doors on Vico today - it was quite a journey and a privilege to cook in such a prestigious landmark site. I extend my thanks to our staff and customers for making Vico such a happy place - it taught me a lot that I will bring in to my future work."
