Following the opening of the first Island Poké site on Kingly Street in Soho last year, founder James Porter and his team have secured a second site in London's Broadgate Circle.
New offerings at the site, set to open 31 July, will include poké nachos, poké tacos and a ‘bowl of the month' initiative.
‘Poké' is a mix of cubes of raw fish with a soy-based dressing, served in a bowl with steamed rice and garnishes. The site will be serving Hawaiian Kona coffee with breakfast options including overnight apple and cinnamon oats, tropical chia pots, salmon and yuzu cream cheese rolls and cinnamon buns.
Lunch will offer a choice between three house poké bowls or a ‘build your own' bespoke poké bowl. The drinks offering will also include Hawaiian beers, wines or house brand ‘Pacific G&T's'.
Island Poké will launch its new ‘bowl of the month' initiative with Yum Bun founder Lisa Meyer.
Porter started trading the concept in street food residency Little Feast, exhibition openings and office drops before opening the first permanent site last year with the backing of White Rabbit Fund and operational support of GoodLife Projects. The company hopes to open two further sites this calendar year.
