The Inventive Bar Company, which operates the Revolution bar brands, has
announced a 5% rise in sales and a pre-tax profit increase of 41% in its
half-year results.
The results, for the six-months to 31 December 2013, saw pre-tax profit
increase from £4.7m to £6.7m. Catering sales rose by 13%.
The company attributes the success to significant changes in the
management and strategy of the firm, including its transformation
programme of core brand Revolution, and new roles in key areas such as
property, catering and drinks.
The company's turnover is said to be more than £110m.
The changes come following the appointment of new chief executive Mark
McQuater in March last year, who also confirmed that a refinancing of bank
facilities and plans to grow the Revolucion de Cuba and Revolution brands
were part of the company's major future strategies.
He added: "I am delighted that the management team at New Inventive Bar
Company has converted this performance-led plan into such a strong
financial result this year."
The Ashton-under-Lyme-based Inventive Bar Company used to be known as
Inventive Leisure, but officially changed its name earlier this month. The
firm was founded in the 1980s and now employs over 2,500 people across the
UK.
