Interstate Hotels & Resorts is to develop a 195-bedroom Aloft hotel in Birmingham alongside an adjacent conference venue.
The dual scheme is part of Birmingham's 20-year major regeneration project within the Eastside area of the city.
The urban-lifestyle hotel will feature a 120-cover restaurant, cocktail bar and gym, while the conference venue will include a suite which will be able to accommodate 800 people for a banquet and an additional 12 meeting rooms.
Nicholas Northam, managing director for the UK at Interstate, said: "This latest addition to the Interstate portfolio will play a key part in the regeneration of the Eastside area and provide a quality meetings and events venue that will enhance the city's position on the map, as a leading destination for both leisure and business travel."
Nicola Hewitt, commercial director of the West Midlands Growth Company which is focused on attracting investment to the area, added: "The decision to locate this new hotel and conferencing venue in Birmingham's Eastside district is another vote of confidence for this area's continued transformation.
"Located on the doorstep of the new HS2 station at Curzon Street, it's further evidence of an international brand choosing to reinforce its presence in a city that is gaining momentum, generating more economic growth and new jobs for the region."
Interstate Hotels & Resorts is a third party management company which operates a portfolio of 60 hotels in the UK under brands belong to Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott and Wyndham Worldwide.
