IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of its first Vignette Collection site in the UK, which is due to open as the Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool later this year.
The hotel will open under a franchise agreement with Molo Hotels and will be operated by Lighthouse Hotel Management.
The 133-bedroom property is also set to include a restaurant, gym, conferencing facilities, and a roof top terrace.
IHG’s Vignette Collection, which launched in 2021, includes the Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley in Australia and the Aquatique Pattaya in Thailand.
It signed or opened 14 hotels in its first year and seeks to expand into over 100 global properties over the next 10 years.
The latest Liverpool-based contract follows numerous European signings under the Vignette Collection, including in Reit im Winkl, Germany; Budapest, Hungary; and Porto, Portugal.
Willemijn Geels, VP development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Vignette Collection to the UK – a new luxury brand in an established market for IHG. Vignette Collection gives strategic partners and owners, like Molo Hotels, the opportunity to retain their distinctive hotel identity, while benefitting from IHG’s global scale, Luxury & Lifestyle expertise, and powerful IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.”
Ross Morrow, managing director of Molo Hotels, added: “Liverpool is a thriving market with growing demand and IHG’s enterprise system will allow us to better serve guests at The Halyard at Ropewalks Liverpool, Vignette Collection from later this year.”
IHG Hotels & Resorts has over 350 hotels under eight brands operating in UK and Ireland, including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and Hotel Indigo.
