Ian Howard has been appointed executive chef at Galvin at the Athenaeum, the Galvin brothers’ two-AA-rosette contemporary British restaurant at the five-red-AA-star Athenaeum hotel in London’s Mayfair.
He joins the hotel team having worked as head chef at Borough Market’s Roast restaurant, as well as executive head chef at Babylon at the Roof Gardens in Kensington. He replaces William Baker.
Howard said: “One of the favourite daily tasks for me is talking with suppliers to find out what their best produce is on any given day and transforming that into something magnificent for our customers. Galvin at the Athenaeum is a great space as it provides a luxury experience in a relaxed atmosphere.”
