The Hoxton hotel brand has announced a raft of openings in key European cities over the next 18 months, including a property in Edinburgh.
As well as launching its fourth London hotel in Shepherd’s Bush this December, the Hoxton will open in Edinburgh in summer 2023 in the city’s Haymarket area.
Some 211 rooms will be spread across 10 townhouses on either side of the street and the hotel will also have a restaurant, large event spaces and a gallery.
Hoxton Edinburgh will feature three ‘Hox Homes’: three-bedroom self-contained apartments designed for long-stay accommodation.
Other upcoming openings for the brand include Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna and Dublin.
The group said the upcoming expansion reflected “the strong bounceback” it has seen post- pandemic, with many of its properties hitting pre-pandemic levels and "record-breaking" restaurant revenue.
The business acknowledged facing recruitment “challenges” and said it had explored alternative routes for sourcing talent, including a partnership with Saira Hospitality for its upcoming Shepherd’s Bush opening, a non-profit that trains people from disadvantaged backgrounds through its pop-up hospitality schools.
Hoxton is owned by Ennismore, which merged with hospitality giant Accor last year.
