Hospitality Rising hits 100,000 job applications

Industry-wide recruitment campaign and jobs board Hospitality Rising has attracted over 100,000 job applications in less than six months.

It comes after the ‘Rise Fast, Work Young’ campaign, which targets 16 to 30-year-olds, exceeded 72,000 applications at the end of February.

The campaign launched last October in a bid to fix the sector’s mounting job vacancies.

It now boasts over 300 backers, including celebrity chefs like Angela Hartnett and Tom Kerridge and businesses such as Pret A Manger and Ottolenghi.

As of this week, seven more operators have joined the campaign: Living Ventures, The Ned, Quarter Ltd, First Restaurants, The Vineyard, Ned’s Noodle Bar, Army & Navy Club, and Tate Eats.

Mark McCulloch, founder of Hospitality Rising and campaign director, said: “The backing we're getting from supporters is resulting in their vacancies being seen by a new audience as well as helping us reach our long term goals.
