Honest Burgers has continued to buck the casual dining downturn, reporting strong revenue and profit growth within its latest results.
Documents filed with Companies House for the year to 27 January 2019 show that the group, which was shortlisted for the 2019 Restaurateur of the Year – Group Catey, saw turnover increase by £8.4m in the 12-month period to £30.7m.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization increased by 47% to £4.4m, while pre-tax profits stood at £873,266 up from £715,539 the previous year.
The year had seen the group open five new sites, taking their portfolio to 30 with three restaurants outside of London.
Within its results the restaurant group said it planned to open further venues in this financial year, with a “strong pipeline in place”.
Earlier this year the group’s founders Tom Barton and Philip Eeles told The Caterer how they have taken the brand from tent to triumph.
