Heinz Foodservice has launched its Eating Healthy with Heinz campaign, with educational kits to encourage children to eat healthily at school and learn more about what goes into their favourite food products.
The kits will help schools to teach students about healthier eating and where their food comes from. Resources include tray liner quizzes, guessing games, word searches, a tomato ketchup recipe and a grow your own 'Beanz in a Can' experiment. Certificates and reward stickers will also be included.
A social media competition will run alongside the campaign on Facebook and Instagram, tagging @HeinzUK to receive gifts decorated with the school’s name.
Claire Traynor, head of foodservice for Northern Europe at Kraft Heinz, commented: “A nutritious diet should be a cornerstone of every childhood. Our new Heinz low sugar and salt range means that, after months of lockdown, parents can send their children back to school confident that they will be consuming healthy meals.
"In addition, our fun and educational kits will also help nourish their minds, providing memorable ways for teachers and school caterers to educate the nation’s children about the food that they are eating, ultimately helping them to make healthier choices throughout their lives.”
Schools wishing to get their hands on one of the limited edition free kits should email their name, school name and address to education@kraftheinz.com.
