Branches in Balham, Camden, Chelsea and Kingston have closed.

London-based gourmet burger brand Haché has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators and closed four sites.

Haché restaurants in Balham, Camden, Chelsea and Kingston have closed. A fifth site in Holborn continues to trade while options are explored.

It was reported last month that the business, which launched in Shoreditch in February 2013, was exploring options for a rapid sale.

The business is understood to be working with Interpath Advisory.

Haché was founded by Berry Casey and Suzie Casey and was one of the first gourmet burger chains to launch in the capital.

In 2016 it was bought by Jamie Barber, co-founder of Cabana and Hush, Ed Standring, the former managing director of Richoux Group, and veteran restaurateur Ian Neill.

Hospitality has seen a spate of closures in recent months as cost pressures continue to bite following the bruising years of the Covid-19 pandemic. Other restaurants to shut their doors include Simon Wood’s Wood Manchester, Nick Nairn’s Nairn’s in Bridge of Allan, Stirling, as well as Liz Cottam’s Home and Michael O’Hare’s Psycho Sandbar, both in Leeds.

Earlier in the year other restaurants to shut their doors included Monica and David Galetti’s Mere and Michel Roux’s two-Michelin-starred Le Gavroche in London, as well as James Close’s two-Michelin-starred Raby Hunt in County Durham.
