Guy Betteridge has joined the Kimpton Fitzroy London hotel in Bloomsbury as executive chef from D&D London’s South Place hotel, where he was head chef.
In his new role, Betteridge oversees all the food and beverage operations at the five-star, 334-bedroom hotel and its four restaurants and bars: Neptune, Fitz’s, Burr & Co. and Palm Court, alongside in-room dining, and private events in the ballroom and eight meeting and event spaces.
Betteridge was head chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen in Soho before joining South Place, where he worked for over two years running the Chop House and five private dining rooms.
Garreth Walsh, general manager at the hotel, said: “I am so pleased to be welcoming Guy to the Kimpton Fitzroy London family. He is a fantastic and innovative chef, bringing with him a wealth of experience, which will only add to the brilliant reputation of our iconic hotel.”
Betteridge replaces Roger Olsson in the role, who recently left for the same role at the Hyatt Regency London – the Churchill in Marylebone.
