Green & Fortune fundraiser raises £45,000 for charitable causes

Green & Fortune has raised £45,000 for the London Irish Centre and Hospitality Action at its annual charity fundraiser, which took place on St Patrick’s Day.

Over 200 guests attended the event at Kings Place, London, hosted by Green & Fortune chief executive John Nugent, who welcomed “friends, competitors and long-suffering operators from the hospitality sector” to the largest gathering since the event was founded in 2019.

They were joined by Chris Mitchell and Robbie Laidlaw from Genuine Dining, who are set to row the Atlantic in December for Hospitality Action. Mitchell explained to those present the scale of their challenge as they prepare to take on a row considered the toughest in the world.

All the funds raised at the St Patrick’s Day event will be shared between the London Irish Centre and Hospitality Action with a view to supporting those in need.

Nugent said: “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported the day. It’s a huge date in the calendar for the whole company, for all of the guests to get behind it and for so many brands to give amazing lots and raffle prizes, it’s very humbling.

“We had the best event to date – more money means more people helped, we had more guests attend and many more great experiences made. My sincere thanks to everyone and to my team, who brought a small piece of Ireland to Kings Cross!”

Green & Fortune operates retail and event sites including Kings Place, Sea Containers and Central Hall Westminster. Last year it launched Rose Court Events, a South Bank venue with one of the capital’s largest roof terraces along with sizeable event spaces.
