British craft lager producer Freedom Brewery has secured a seasonal listing for its New Zealand Pale with Mitchells & Butlers’ Castle outlets.
The deal, the value of which has not been disclosed, will see Freedom Brewery’s ale as an option for all 107 Castle sites across the autumn and winter months.
Castle sites include historic London pub the Spaniard’s Inn in Hampstead and the Angel in Angel, London, which once played host to the Monty Python cast and crew.
Matthew Willson, managing director at Freedom Brewery, said: “The Castle estate is hugely respected in the trade and its core audiences align with the typical profile of a Freedom Brewery drinker, so we’re really pleased to have struck this initial deal.
“Our method of production ensures our keg delivery retains every bit of freshness, crispness, and flavour, and we look forward to seeing how the brand trades through Castle over the season.”
Founded in 1995 and based in Abbots Bromley in Staffordshire, Freedom Brewery states it is one of the UK’s original craft lager breweries.
