Bristol contract catering business Fosters Event Catering has secured a £10m catering contract with the Bristol Zoological Society.
The five-year contract will see Fosters Events work with the Society’s Wild Place Project, which opened in 2013 and will be renamed Bristol Zoo Project this summer.
It is the latest contract win for Fosters Events, which has worked with a number of national visitor attractions. In March 2021, it announced a five-year contract to develop three new dining spaces at Westonbirt, the National Arboretum in partnership with Forestry England. Four months later, it announced it had secured another five-year catering partnership, this time with Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park in Warwickshire worth £5m.
Neil Lodge, chief executive of Fosters Events, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen and given the responsibility of developing the food offer for Bristol Zoological Society at such an exciting time for the development and growth of the site.
“We will be working in close partnership with the Society to ensure that the offer we provide is aligned with the aims and values of the charity, and the exciting journey that they are on.”
Jenny Stoves, visitor experience manager at Wild Place Project, added that the organisation was “hugely excited” to partner with Fosters as the catering company shared its sustainable and environmental aims.
