The new Wilde aparthotel is the first to feature its redesigned logo and revamped interiors.
Dublin-based aparthotel operator Staycity Group has opened its fourth Wilde property in London, this time near Liverpool Street.
It comes six years after the first Wilde was launched in London’s Covent Garden in 2018, which was followed by openings in Paddington and Aldgate.
The 106-apartment Wilde London Liverpool Street is the first of the branded sites to feature its redesigned logo and revamped interiors.
Located in London’s historic Petticoat Lane, the property features a ground floor lobby, bar and communal space decorated with artwork and ceramics created by London-based artists.
The bar itself was conceived by O’Donnell O’Neill Design. It showcases elaborate handmade terracotta tiles and a generous selection of gins, locally brewed beers and biodynamic wines.
The ground floor also includes a coffee shop serving barista-made coffee made with beans from UK specialty roaster Workshop Coffee. Guests will also be able to pre-order food and drink from the self-service shop.
Wilde London Liverpool Street consists of 11 different room types, ranging from one-bed executive apartments to the Wilde Residence, a one bed studio with a private balcony and terrace that can sleep up to four guests.
The property spans six floors and also features six accessible rooms.
All apartments have fully fitted kitchens with a Nespresso coffee machine and Smeg kettle, as well as an XL-sized bed, rainfall shower and touch control panels for lighting.
Kelly Morgan, managing director of Wilde Apartments, said: “We are very excited to open in Liverpool Street and to unveil the new direction for Wilde, which takes its design cues from the locality and the history of the East End.
“Our stunning artworks, and around 70% of our food and drink, are sourced from the best of local suppliers and artists, who we’re keen to support and celebrate.”
Wilde London Liverpool Street was two years in the making, led by the property’s owner real estate investment company Glenwell Group, which was responsible for converting and extending the existing building, while Staycity oversaw the fit-out of the front of house area.
Staycity Group’s Wilde aparthotels were inspired by the Irish writer Oscar Wilde and also operates sites in Berlin, Edinburgh and Manchester, with further sites due to launch in Cambridge, Oxford, Lisbon and Porto.
