Luke French and Stacey Sherwood-French are set to launch Jöro 2.Ӧ within the Oughtibridge Paper Mill development on the edge of the Peak District next month.

The husband and wife duo first launched Jöro, Sheffield’s first Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, in 2016 in a shipping container at Krynkl, Kelham Island.

The pair revealed they will be relocating the 16-cover fine-dining restaurant earlier this year following a review in The Times by Giles Coren.

Jöro 2.Ӧ will be opening on 15 January 2025 alongside two bars, an all-day dining terrace, outdoor BBQ kitchen concept, a deli shop and seven Scandi-infused boutique rooms designed by the owners.

The new restaurant will serve food inspired by Japanese and Nordic cuisine that also showcases Jöro’s signature live-fire cooking style.

Dishes include grilled Scottish scallops, salt-aged Yorkshire beef rump cap, and whole teriyaki quail.

French said: “We’re incredibly excited to finally open the doors to our new home in January. This move has been years in the making, and we’ve poured so much thought into creating a space that elevates the Jöro experience. The additional space means we can expand our offerings with the terrace, bars and more, giving guests an array of ways to experience Jöro.”

Jöro’s street food concept, Konjö, which launched in 2019, will continue to operate at the original Krynkl site.
