The Northall restaurant at the five-red-AA-star, 294-bedroom Corinthia Hotel London has appointed Ewan Simpson as head chef.
He joins the hotel from Rowhill Grange hotel, Dartford, Kent, where he was executive chef for two years, having previously worked in London as sous chef at the Stafford hotel and then the same role at Claridge's.
In his new position Simpson will oversee the Best in British menu at the Northall.
Thomas Koch, managing director at the the Corinthia, said: "Ewan brings rich experience to Northall, having mastered new Nordic, classical French, modern British and European and healthy eating cooking.
"I know Ewan from Claridge's and I am thrilled to have him on the team. Corinthia always supports young British talent and he will bring a new approach to modern British cuisine, ushering in an exciting new phase for the restaurant."
Simpson will work alongside Graziano Bonacina, who is head chef at the hotel's Italian restaurant, Massimo's. Bonacina joined the hotel in May from the South Kensingon Club, where he was executive chef.
Simpson and Bonacina both report to the hotel's executive chef, Adriano Cavagnini, who last year took over from Garry Hollihead, now international culinary director for Corinthia Hotels, which operates nine hotels in Europe and Africa.
