Eric Chavot is to make his second comeback to the London dining scene as head chef at Bob Bob Cité in London's Leadenhall Building.
The second site from Bob Bob Ricard owner Leonid Shutov is due to open in January 2018 on the third floor of the building better known as the cheesegrater.
Chavot will be joined in the kitchen by Richard Hondier, who has worked alongside him since 1995 at restaurants including the Capital hotel, where the pair achieved two Michelin stars, and Brasserie Chavot.
Bob Bob Cité will include 180 covers and a menu that Chavot said would feature âBob Bob dishes with a smileâ.
He added: âIâm learning dumplings to go on the menu, but with my twist. I will do a snail one. They also do a kiev at Bob Bob Richard, but Iâm going to do a brioche dumpling stuffing to do for the chicken. It will be their dishes but tweaked a la Chavot.â
Chavot closed Brasserie Chavot at the Westbury hotel in December 2015, having originally returned to the London food scene in 2013.
He had previously held two Michelin stars at Londonâs Capital hotel before taking three years out of the kitchen.
The celebrated chef was honoured with the Craft Guild of Chefsâ Special Award in 2014 for his commitment to the industry and outstanding contribution to the British food scene.
