Emirates Old Trafford has named Liam Rutherford as head chef at the 150-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn.
Rutherford joins the hotel from the Clarence pub in Bury, which was named Best Food Pub in Manchester in 2017 at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards during his time as head chef.
Prior to that Rutherford was senior sous chef at the Montcalm Hotel on Chiswell Street, in the City of London. His past experience also includes spells at Gary Rhodes Brasserie, the Arch Hotel London, and Sanctum Special Events, providing catering at Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds Festival.
Michael Hewson, general manager at the Hilton Garden Inn, said: "We're thrilled to welcome Liam to our growing team and he joins us at an exciting time, with the Specsavers Ashes and ICC World Cup being hosted at the ground next year. He brings a lot of creative talent and experience to the role."
The Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford opened in August 2017. It has 150 bedrooms across five floors, including 85 that overlook the Lancashire Cricket pitch.
