Emily Roux is to open her first solo restaurant with husband Diego Ferrari in London's Notting Hill later this year.
Caractère will open on the junction of Ledbury Road and Westbourne Park Road in a 2,500 sq ft space formerly occupied by Bumpkin and the Good Leaf restaurants.
Roux, who is the daughter of chef Michel Roux Jr, will become the third generation of the Roux dynasty to turn restaurateur.
She posted a picture of the keys to the site to Instagram with the message: "@f_diego And I are beyond excited for this new adventure and can't wait to show you how @caractererestaurant will evolve in the next few months.
Ferrari posted the same picture with the message: "The start of a new adventure. We finally have the keys…. Let the building commence."
The restaurant will offer a mix of French and Italian food.
James Grimes, director at AG&G, said: "Our client is delighted to have secured such a prestigious family name and reputation into its premises. The attention to detail of Emily and her advisors so far as the planned fit out is concerned, bodes well for the business focus they will have when it opens. I am sure it will be a great success."
