Elior UK has been awarded a five-year contract worth £5.5m with Sportscotland.
Irene Riach, national lead for performance nutrition at the Sportscotland Institute of Sport will work with Elior to create a menu that celebrates Scottish produce and supports the health, wellbeing and performance of guests.
She said: âOur aspiration is to create truly inclusive world-class dining facilities that will celebrate Scotlandâs larder and change perceptions of performance dining â" whether for high performance athletes or the occasional sportsperson. We believe Elior is the right partner to help us deliver that aspiration.â
In addition to full residential dining at both centres, Elior will provide a range of healthy grab-and-go options in the café and bars, plus a full hospitality offer for conferences and events.
Cheryl MacLeod, Elior business development manager, said: âWe understand that sporting teams all have different nutritional and dietary needs, which can be very specific. By working with the nutritionists at sportscotland â" Elior will create specially tailored menus, to ensure our offer is optimal for performance.
âElior will also be implementing its specialist, tailored menu solution ProvisionPlan â" designed for those with varying levels of ability, taking into account the different dietary requirements that reflect individual medical needs and preferences.â
