Foodservice firm Elior UK has partnered with West College Scotland in an attempt to nurture young talent.
Students on the WCS and Elior Culinary Development course at the college will be able to partake in a 14-week course which will see a group working three days a week with award-winning chef Jav Aziz at Rangers Football Club.
As well as attending classes at West College Scotland's Paisley campus, students will be able to learn within Ibrox stadium's hospitality and function kitchens.
Carol Gaffney, curriculum and quality leader at West College Scotland, said: âThis course will be a springboard for students who have ambitions to secure a job as a commis chef or a modern apprentice. Weâre very excited about how our new partnership with Elior will further enrich the course for our students and equip them for future success.â
After successfully completing the course, students will have earned an SVQ Level 1 in Food Preparation and Cooking â" meaning theyâre able to apply for commis chef roles, a modern apprenticeship, or further culinary study.
