The Eggleton family, who own the Michelin-starred Pony & Trap in Chew Magna, have announced they are opening a new restaurant in South Bristol.
Posting on Instagram about a ‘second Pony’, the restaurant said details would be ‘coming soon’.
The family took over the Somerset restaurant in 2006, and under the direction of siblings Josh (chef) and Holly (general manager) the pub picked up a Michelin star in 2011.
The site is currently closed due to coronavirus restrictions, however the team is operating a temporary offering at Breaking Bread, a pop-up on the Clifton Downs in Bristol, and focusing on distributing food to those in need.
The family’s other sites are open for takeaway, including Salt & Malt sites at Chew Valley and Wapping Wharf, the Kensington Arms pub in Redland, Yurt Lush in Temple Mead, and Root in Bristol.
Josh and Holly, who won an Acorn Award in 2016, run the business along with their parents Gail and Chris, and brother Scott.
