Contract caterer Eat Social has announced a change in ownership following a management buyout.
The leadership team behind the new contract caterer has taken ownership of the business from parent company Two Hands Food Group in a deal that completed earlier this month.
Eat Social launched into the London business and industry market last year led by Christina Ronsyn, managing director of Two Hands Food Group, alongside operations director Simon Wade and culinary director Paul Bloxham.
The three have now taken ownership of the boutique caterer alongside Nico Prinsloo, who has joined the leadership team as commercial director.
The company has also secured investment from Tim West, former chairman of Lexington Catering, and Alison Heyman, former chief executive of CH&Co, who will provide strategic support and mentorship.
The change in ownership follows Eat Social’s first contract win of operating a café, hospitality services and events for a property developer at the new King's Cross campus.
“Our team is hugely excited to take ownership of Eat Social,” said Ronsyn. “Taking the reins of the business demonstrates to clients, consultants and the wider industry the confidence and belief we have in the brand we’ve built and its enormous growth potential.
"Having recently won our first contract against some strong competition, we are poised to rapidly expand our market reach.”
Prinsloo added: “Watching Christina, Simon, Paul and the wider Eat Social team bring a fresh hospitality-led approach to the market has been hugely exciting.
"The opportunity to join the Eat Social leadership team to drive growth comes at this pivotal point in their journey and I’m thrilled to now be part of this exciting business.”
