Dunstane House joins Pride of Britain Hotels

Dunstane House in Edinburgh has joined the Pride of Britain luxury collection of independently-owned UK hotels.

Following the addition of the Vineyard and Yorebridge House in March, the family-run boutique hotel takes the membership of Pride of Britain to 49, close to the consortium's capacity of 50.

Located in Edinburgh's West End, the VisitScotland five-star rated Dunstane House is located in a Victorian townhouse which dates back to 1865.

The hotel boasts 16 newly-refurbished bedrooms, including four Orkney suites. Its newly-opened Ba' Bar & Lounge provides relaxed all-day dining using seasonal Scottish produce sourced from small local suppliers.

Shirley and Derek Mowat, owners of Dunstane House, said: "We are delighted to have been accepted into Pride of Britain Hotels' prestigious hotel collection."

Peter Hancock, chief executive of Pride of Britain Hotels, added: "It gives me great pleasure to welcome Dunstane House to Pride of Britain Hotels. This is our fifth Scottish member in the collection and our first member hotel in the wonderful city of Edinburgh."
