Diana Riaubiene, who works for ISS at Morgan Stanley, has been named the 2020 Corporate Receptionist of the Year.
Now in its second year, the award was launched to recognise and celebrate the exceptional front of house receptionists working in the corporate sector.
Riaubiene won having presented to the judges over Zoom and impressing in all three challenges: a personal presentation, an interview and a role play scenario.
She beat finalists Laura Egerbacher, from Lexington at British Land, and Reiss Gordon-Henry, from Rapport at HSBC, who were both highly commended.
Riaubiene said: “The competition has been an amazing experience. I also feel the communication from Corporate Receptionist of the Year representatives has been very informative.
“Preparing for my presentation has given me great exposure to learn presentation skills and to grow personally.
“My colleagues were thrilled to find out I had made it to the final.”
Corporate Receptionist of the Year founder and Rapport managing director Greg Mace said: “This year, from when the shortlist was announced, many of the finalists have been in furlough. Conducting the final assessment round virtually posed an additional challenge, which they all passed with distinction. I am full of admiration for every one of them and what they have achieved in unique circumstances.”
As part of her prize Riaubiene will receive a fully hosted five-day trip to New York and the opportunity to visit a number of prestigious corporate offices including the Rockefeller Center, dinner from two at Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred City Social restaurant in London, a two-day leadership development course provided by the Dorchester Collection Academy, and a LinkedIn profile makeover supplied by StrawberryFinch.
