Deliveroo has partnered with temporary staffing platform Staff Heroes to meet the needs of restaurants hit by an influx of orders through the delivery app.
Deliveroo will offer its restaurant partners on-demand staffing solutions through its Restaurant Perks Program, which will allow operators to book additional staff at short notice.
Lila Benatoff, head of partnerships at Deliveroo, said: "Deliveroo is committed to helping our restaurant partners manage their demand and overcome any staffing challenges they may have. By partnering with Staff Heroes, we hope to further this goal by providing easy access to thousands of skilled hospitality workers on-demand."
Laurent Gibb, chief executive of Staff Heroes, added: "Deliveroo is a fast-growing, forward-thinking company that is leading the way in identifying partnerships that will better serve their customers while effectively managing their growth. We are excited to work closely with them and their restaurant customers."
Staff Heroes will provide hospitality professionals, including chefs, waiting and bar staff, through an online booking platform.
The partnership is the latest announcement from Deliveroo, which earlier this month revealed it would introduce "virtual restaurants" to help kitchens create, test and bring to market new brands.
The food delivery partner said it is trying to help restaurants increase their revenue and customer base by expanding their online delivery offerings.
It will help restaurants to set up delivery-only sidelines and aid their brand development, providing them with the means to trial new concepts without investment in bricks and mortar.
