The hotel group, which is one of the largest operators in Ireland, has committed to widening its UK portfolio.
Ireland’s Dalata Hotel Group has opened its first property in Liverpool as the group cements its plans for UK expansion.
The 268-bedroom Maldron hotel, designed to a BREEAM Excellent rating, features a bar, the brand’s signature Grain & Grill restaurant, a dedicated meeting and events floor with three meeting rooms and an on-site gym.
It is being led by general manager Kirsty Monington and marks the group’s fourth opening this year across the UK.
Last month, Dalata opened a hotel in Manchester’s Cathedral Quarter, taking its total footprint of Mancunian properties to four.
The group is also due to open Maldron hotels in Brighton and London’s Shoreditch in the coming months.
Dermot Crowley, chief executive at Dalata Hotel Group, said: “We are proud to take our Maldron Hotel brand to Merseyside. Liverpool is an exciting city, and we are confident our new hotel will be extremely popular with our guests.
“The opening of Maldron Hotel Liverpool is further proof of Dalata’s commitment to our UK expansion, and we are excited about the upcoming openings in London and Brighton.”
“Liverpool was a key city for us as part of our expansion strategy and this successful opening is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our outstanding team at Maldron Hotel Liverpool.”
Dalata Hotel Group has 55 properties in its portfolio under the Maldron, Clayton and Unique and Boutique hotel brands.
