Daisy Green to open Soho restaurant at Timberyard site

Australian restaurant group the Daisy Green Collection is set to open its next site in London's Soho in the spring.

The group has taken over the lease of 2-4 Noel Street, which currently houses independent café and work space concept Timberyard.

Leisure property firm Davis Coffer Lyons completed the deal for the group to take on the leasehold of the site for the remainder of the 10-year lease, which started in 2015.

The Daisy Green Collection secured a debt finance deal with OakNorth bank worth £3.4m at the end of 2017 and stated plans to open six additional sites by 2020. The group plans to reopen the 4,000 sq ft site in the spring, following a successful change of use planning application.

The business has eight sites in central London, including a pair of barge restaurants on the Grand Union Canal at Paddington Central, painted by Sir Peter Blake.

The business was founded by Prue Freeman and her husband Tom Onions in 2012, and it has evolved from a street food trader to all-day cafés and restaurants serving bottomless brunches, healthy lunches and dinner, live music and drinks.
