Daisy Green Collection reveals details of ninth restaurant

Australian restaurant group the Daisy Green Collection has revealed details of its ninth restaurant, set to launch in London's Soho in May.

Scarlett Green will open at 4 Noel Street in the site of what was café and work space concept Timberyard, with former Coya general manager Francesco Sica in charge.

The 4,000 sq ft venue will be the first to launch since the Daisy Green Collection secured £3.4m in funding from bank OakNorth to help it double in size.

Scarlett Green will be set over two floors and will serve Antipodean-inspired food and cocktails.

Dishes include small plates such as tuna tostadas, Bondi hot prawns and Vegemite, truffle and cheese doughnuts.

There will be vegetarian and vegan options, as well as sashimi and ceviche and well as steaks from Nathan Mills of the Butchery.

Head chef will be Dominik Moldenhauer.

Scarlett Green also lays claim to the largest Australian wine list in London, with 24 wines from the country available by the glass (from £6).

It will open seven days a week from 7am until late, and will also serve Daisy Green Collection's bottomless brunch with new additions such as the "fancy bacon roll" and "smashed avo on charcoal sourdough".

Former bankers Prue Freeman and husband Tom Onions founded Daisy Green in 2012.

The business already has eight sites in central London including a pair of barge restaurants on the Grand Union Canal at Paddington Central, painted by Sir Peter Blake.

“We are looking forward to showcasing our authentic modern Australian cuisine with some childhood favourites and Aussie classics.”
