The 40-room hotel and Trocadero’s restaurant is expected to create over 50 local jobs.
Crossbasket Castle has revealed a first look at its luxury hotel development, which will feature a restaurant overseen by chef Michel Roux.
Owners Alison and Steve Timoney have invested £20m into building a new 40-bedroom hotel within the grounds of the five-AA-red-star estate on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Once it opens on 16 March 2025, the venue will have capacity for an additional 35,000 visitors each year and provide over 50 jobs for the local area.
The new rooms include two grand suites, four junior suites, eight deluxe rooms and 26 classic double / twin rooms.
Two eco-cottages for guests and a luxury Four Angels Spa with its own bespoke product line will also launch at the hotel in autumn 2025.
Roux will oversee the on-site Trocadero’s restaurant and cocktail bar, which will feature live entertainment, immersive dining experiences and crafted cocktails.
It will be the second Roux restaurant at the hotel, which has worked with the family since 2016.
The late Albert Roux originally oversaw the menus at the Crossbasket hotel restaurant, while his son Michel now lends his name to the Michel Roux Jr at the Castle restaurant.
The 17th century Crossbasket Castle is part of the Inverlochy Castle Management International (ICMI) collection, which works with the Roux family across several of its other luxury hotels including Inverlochy Castle near Fort William.
The Timoneys have owned Crossbasket Castle since 2011 and spent £10m restoring it before it relaunched in 2016.
