Crimson Hotels acquires Trafalgar St. James hotel in London

Crimson Hotels has acquired the 131-bedroom Trafalgar St. James hotel in London in a multi-million pound deal.

The sale price has not been disclosed, however *CoStar *reports it to be £130m.

This marks the second Hilton Curio Collection acquisition for Crimson Hotels, following the addition of 100 Queen’s Gate hotel in London’s South Kensington to its portfolio.

The hotel will be led by Federico Ciampi, the current general manager of 100 Queen’s Gate, who was recently promoted to the role of cluster general manager. He has worked as a general manager for 12 years.

There are plans to open a new restaurant at Trafalgar St. James, which will be operated by a high-end Asian restaurant group.

Alykhan Kassam, chief executive officer at Crimson Hotels, said: “We are delighted to have acquired the Trafalgar St. James hotel with the property making a welcome addition to our portfolio of London hotels. We are looking forward to working with the hotel team, under Federico’s leadership, to firmly establish the property as one of the best in the capital.”

Crimson Hotels is an independently owned hotel company founded in 1995 that currently owns and manages nine hotels.
