Corinthia Hotel London has appointed Mark Carnazzola hotel manager to oversee operations and assist managing director Thomas Kochs.
Carnazzola joins the 294-bedroom, five-red-AA-star hotel from the Royal Lancaster London where he has been hotel manager for the past year. His previous appointments include general manager at the Bentley hotel in London, pre-opening projects manager consultant for Moxy Hotels in New York, director of rooms at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London and area director of finance for the Maybourne Hotel Group.
He replaces Mirko Cattini, who is now working as hotel manager at the Dorchester in London.
Kochs said: "We are delighted to welcome Mark to the Corinthia family. Mark brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of hotel management and I am confident that his passion for and knowledge of luxury hospitality will benefit our operation greatly."
Carnazzola added: "Since the hotel's opening seven years ago I have followed its growth with great interest. I am proud to join such a dynamic and forward-thinking team and to contribute not only to the hotel but to the Corinthia family."
The Corinthia has seen numerous changes since Kochs joined the property from Hotel Café Royal last year, including the launch of Kerridge's Bar & Grill at the property in September, the announcement that chef André Garrett is to join the hotel in January as executive chef, and the property was also the subject of BBC One series A Hotel for the Super Rich and Famous last night.
