Compass Hospitality has secured its 13th property in the UK with the Best Western Queen's hotel in Dundee.
The 53-bedroom hotel has been acquired by the Thai hospitality company in a joint venture with Seacare Hospitality Singapore off an asking price of £2.75m, It is the group's second property in Scotland.
Compass Hospitality's president and chief executive, Harmil Singh, said: "We are gaining confidence in the UK, and in addition to our portfolio of properties, our local workforce is continuing to grow and gain presence in the industry."
The Thai hospitality group manages and operates a portfolio of 45 hospitality properties, including the Crown Spa hotel in Scarborough, the Victoria hotel in Chadderton, Oldham, Hawkwell House in Oxford and the Citrus Hotel Coventry in the UK, as well as hotels in Thailand Malaysia. Its headquarters are in Bangkok and Manchester.
