Colin Gunn has been appointed general manager of the Moxy Aberdeen Airport hotel, which was the first Moxy to open in the UK.
He replaces Donovan Sumner, who oversaw the opening of the 200-bedroom hotel in December 2016 and has taken a head office role at Belvar, the hotel's management company.
Gunn said: "The hotel has gained an excellent position in the market already and I look forward to continuing its success."
Before joining Moxy Aberdeen, he worked at the Holiday Inn Aberdeen West, most recently as deputy general manager for two years, and also as a food and beverage manager for seven years.
Josefin Baff, Moxy commercial officer at Belvar added: "With Colin's experience, drive and energy he is perfect to take over the reins and continue offering Aberdeen visitors somewhere unique to stay and unlike anything else in the hotel arena."
Moxy is Marriott International's millennial-focused boutique hotel brand. Four Moxy Hotels have been launched in the UK: three in London and one in Aberdeen. A further five are scheduled to open in the UK this year.
Belvar operates 11 Moxy Hotels and three Courtyard by Marriott hotels, as well as its own restaurant brand Gård Nordic Kitchen, entering the UK market later this year at Moxy London Heathrow.
