Forest Park hotel in Brockenhurst has been sold to the Coaching Inn Group, a subsidiary of RedCat Pub Company.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the New Forest and features a restaurant and 40 bedrooms which recently benefited from significant investment.
It is the latest in a string of acquisitions for RedCat, which was founded by former Greene King boss Rooney Anand in 2021 and began snapping up pubs and hotels at a time many were being brought to the market amid the pandemic. The group now has over 100 sites.
RedCat acquired the Coaching Inn Group in August last year when it had 18 sites and it has since expanded the group to 24 hotels.
James Greenslade, director in the Hotel Capital Markets team at Savills, said Forest Park was sold following a “competitive” marketing process which generated “significant interest”.
Kevin Charity, chief executive of the Coaching Inn Group, said: “This is an excellent country inn and hotel, lavishly furnished and decorated and we’re delighted to make it the latest addition in our high-quality portfolio of inns, which has expanded rapidly thanks to RedCat’s support. We’re looking forward to continuing to grow our portfolio at pace.”
Other recent acquisitions by RedCat include the Castle of Brecon pub hotel in the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Pheasant hotel and Blakeney Manor on the North Norfolk coast.
