Clermont Hotel Group, the largest hotel owner-operator in London, has announced the appointment of Gavin Taylor as chief executive.
Taylor joined the business as chief financial officer in 2019, leading the group’s finance, procurement and IT functions. He previously held the same role at Jupiter Hotels, as well as finance director at the property developer of the Bulgari Hotel & Residences London and Queen’s Park Rangers Football Club.
As chief executive, he will oversee the group's growth strategy, with plans for further investment across the portfolio in the coming months, following an initial £18m refurbishment of the Clermont properties in Charing Cross and Victoria.
Taylor said: “The past four years have been incredibly rewarding as we’ve seen the group go from strength to strength. It’s a great honour to have the opportunity to take the reins as chief executive and lead our team on this exciting next step in the Clermont Hotel Group journey. I very much look forward to continue to ensure we deliver extraordinary experiences and services for our guests across our portfolio of 17 hotels in London.”
Clermont Hotel Group’s portfolio comprises more than 5,000 bedrooms and 120 meeting and event spaces across brands such as the Clermont, Hard Rock Hotel London and Thistle.
