Claire Randall, who last week announced she was leaving Lucknam Park, has been appointed general manager of the Idle Rocks hotel in St Mawes, Cornwall.
Randall will start in her role in March after announcing she would step down as managing director of Lucknam Park hotel on Friday.
She initially joined the 42-bedroom country house hotel in 1999 after a six-year spell as an inspector for the Michelin Guide, firstly as general manager before becoming managing director in 2010.
Randall said: "I am really excited to be joining another Relais & Châteaux property in a part of the country that I love.
"I relish the opportunity to help develop the individual talents of the team and to take the Idle Rocks and St Mawes Hotel on the next stage of their journeys, with the aim of delivering David and Karen's [owners David and Karen Richards] aspirations for their stylish properties."
Randall will replace Nick Hanson, who will depart at the end of the year to join Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa in Warwickshire. Hanson had been general manager since September 2016.
Karen and David Richards, the latter a former chairman of Aston Martin, bought the Idle Rocks in 2010, followed by the nearby St Mawes Hotel in 2013.
David Richards said: "Claire's wealth of experience in luxury country hotels will undoubtedly complement that of the existing team enabling us to enhance and develop the standards and service we offer our guests to ensure that the Idle Rocks and the St Mawes Hotel continue to grow in reputation."
