Chef Wolfe Conyngham joins Pomona's in Notting Hill

Wolfe Conyngham has joined Californian restaurant Pomona's in London's Notting Hill as executive chef.

Conyngham graduated from Leith's Cookery School and worked as head chef in his family home of Slane Castle in County Meath before opening his own restaurant Wolfe in Notting Hill in 2015.

He closed Wolfe in 2016 due to rent rises, and has spent the last eight years working in Brazil and the UK.

He will be based at Pomona's day to day, and has introduced a new menu to focusing on freshness, sustainability and local sourcing. The interiors of the site have also recently been updated in the main restaurant to feature softer lighting and a cooler colour palette of creams and greys to complement the existing Hockney-inspired bright décor.

Conyngham, son of the 8th Marquess Conyngham, said: "I am thrilled to be back in Notting Hill. Pomona's gives us the perfect stage to showcase our new menu."

The 2,000 sq ft, 250-cover restaurant and bar with an open kitchen is split over two floors and has been designed by Sundae Design Studio.
