Chef Selin Kiazim is to take up a three-week residency at Carousel, in London's Marylebone.
Carousel is a three-floor restaurant space in Bladford Street that hosts a series of pop-ups and foodie events throughout the year, and Kiazim will showcase her Turkish-Cypriot influenced food there from 5 November.
Born in north London into a Turkish Cypriot family, Kiazim worked for Peter Gordon at the Providores, which led her into a senior chef role at Kopapa.
More recently she has had a six-month residency at Trip Kitchen in Haggerston, where her cooking was widely acclaimed.
Her Carousel menu carries influences from the Mediterranean and the Middle East and dishes will be "modern, zesty, and full of flavour" and she is hoping that the publicity it brings will publicise a crowdfunding project to start her own restaurant.
She said: "I am brimming with pride at the thought of establishing my first restaurant. I hope the experience people have at Carousel will give them a taste for my food and that they will like it enough to help me raise the much-needed capital for my first site."
