Mini Patel has announced that he will leave D&D London's Blueprint Café in Shad Thames in October, having joined just earlier this year.
Patel said: "It's with much sadness that I announce I will be leaving my position as chef-patron at Blueprint Café.
"A big thanks to D&D for giving me the opportunity, all the great talented peeps within the company that have helped and supported me and not forgetting all of the guests that have booked, eaten, drank and enjoyed what me and the gang have been doing. You've all shown fantastic support."
The chef told The Caterer he has no immediate plans and will explore available opportunities.
A spokesperson for D&D London said: "Mini Patel has stepped down from his position as chef-patron for Blueprint Café. Mini will leave later this autumn to explore new opportunities after taking some time off."
Mini's appointment to the chef-patron position was announced in April this year following his departure from the 2016 Menu of the Year Catey-winning Pointer restaurant in Brill, Buckinghamshire, in 2017.
Patel, who appeared on Great British Menu in 2015 and 2016, has previous experience at the Cotswold House hotel in Chipping Campden, Oxfordshire; Claridge's and the Connaught in London; and Rockpool restaurant in Sydney.
