A hotel in Angus has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the most varieties of whisky commercially available.
The 38-bedroom Glenesk hotel in Edzell has 1,031 whiskies available, boosted by the person collection of owner Dylan Wren, who bought the hotel five years ago.
Hotel operations manager Samuel Allen said the whisky bar was initially installed as an "attraction" for guests, as well as "a way of showing how hugely important whisky is for the country".
The collection includes malts from every working distillery in Scotland and rarities, the most expensive being a 25-year-old Lagavulin at £248 a dram.
