The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) is to host an allergen awareness seminar for companies who are offering food demonstrations during Hotelympia.
The pre-exhibition seminar, run by Julian Edwards, director of foodservice consultancy GY5, will take place at CESA's offices on 12 February from 9.30am to 4pm.
It aims to bring attendees up to speed with the latest advice on allergen safety with the Allergen Accreditation and in conjunction with the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
Glenn Roberts, chair of CESA said: "Knowledge of the issue is increasingly important for anyone involved in selling equipment. At the same time, a considerable number of CESA members are developing and supplying products designed to help operators deal with allergen safety by preventing cross contamination. The training will be aimed at both suppliers and operators."
Anyone interested in attending, or finding out more about CESA's allergen training programme, should contact CESA at cesa.org.uk.
